Operating Options
Each Earthshade window shade is custom-made to your specifications. All shades come with valance, nylon cords, and mounting hardware.
You have the choice of Roman Fold or Old Style Roman lifting styles at no additional charge. Top-Down/Bottom-Up operation is available for an additional charge. For larger windows we recommend a stress-reducing continuous-clutch operating system, or multiple
shades mounted on one headrail, at an additional charge.

Standard Roman Fold
Our most popular option. A timeless classic. Shade lifts in the Roman
fold to become its own decorative element in a room.
• Shade is mounted to the back of headrail
• Cord lock & tassel lift mechanism
• Free hanging 6" valance mounted to the front of headrail
• Wrapped metal bar for bottom rail
• Valance returns upon request
• Cord cleats are included
• Minimum width is 10"

Old Style Roman
Shade is mounted on the front of the headrail without a valance, lending a cleaner look. Shade lifts in the roman fold as the Standard Roman and becomes its own valance.

Roman
Rollease
Clutch Mechanism and continuous chain make it easier to lift larger shades assuring even lifting, while virtually eliminating tangling of operating cords, and optimizing longevity of shades at most sizes.

Top-Down/Bottom-Up
Shade can be raised from the bottom, or lowered from the top—letting in light or a view while maintaining privacy.

Hobbled
Simply a decorative choice allowing you to maintain the beauty of overlaying folds even when shade is lowered.

Total Motorization Technology™
Adding a motor provides automated convenience of operating shades with remote control or a wall switch.

Multiple Shades On One Headrail
This is a decorative option for large openings that splits the width and mounts two or more shades on a single headrail with a continuous valance. This greatly improves operation and longevity for heavy fabric loads.

• 1/2" space between shades

Angles or Arches
Specialty shapes can also be covered beautifully with hand woven shades using your templates.

Fabric rolls and hides behind itself on roll. Standard clutch is operated by continuous chain.

Though
we strive to control every detail regarding our shade production,
some patterns may not be suitable for our friends with chemical
sensitivities. Please see Chemical Sensitivities or contact customer service for additional details.
Some patterns may require additional operating options based on ordered dimensions, conditions, and/or
special requests. An Earthshade Representative will assist with recommendations. Minor stretching and twisting is inherent to natural materials and may require a varying amount of time to acclimate. Sun exposure may cause discoloration or fading.
