Profile Bed
 The Profile bed by Pacific Rim Woodworking is inexpensive and uncomplicated. This distinctive and popular bed is crafted out of solid Pacific Coast Maple, sustainably harvested. It features a non-toxic, oil-based, hand-rubbed finish — or order unfinished. The Profile is available in either the “Platform” or “Boxspring” version. The Platform version has a strong slat platform supporting a futon, foam, or innerspring mattress. The Boxspring version is is usually preferred for use with a boxspring/mattress set—due to the height of the set. Each Profile bed has a headboard and matching footboard with identical dimensions. That is, both ends are the same. The Profile Platform version is pictured at right.
 | Like all “Platform” version beds by Pacific Rim the Profile comes with a sturdy platform of closely spaced fir slats attached with jute webbing. This "roll" platform is bolstered by a center beam — in all except the twin-size beds. King size has two center beams. |  The Boxspring version is a little different — using four separate slats as a platform to support the boxspring/mattress set. This four-slat platform for the boxspring/mattress is appropriately lower at 10" in height. Therefore, the boxspring version of the Profile bed has headboard and footboard post heights of 26"—as pictured at left.
